Designed, tested and debugged electronics for fully autonomous soccer playing robots.
2025 to present
-
Redesigned a 4-layer mixed-voltage PCB for a 24 V autonomous soccer robot, integrating five regulated rails, SPI/I2C/UART interfaces, and galvanic isolation around a 240 V capacitor-charging domain.
-
Designed for board bring-up and validation by adding test points, programming/debug access, and isolated high-voltage feedback, enabling critical power-conversion and control nodes to be measured independently.
-
Root-caused intermittent SPI communication faults across a Raspberry Pi-to-motor-controller chain using an oscilloscope and logic analyzer, separating signal-integrity and timing issues from firmware behavior.
-
Developed embedded C firmware to exercise and validate high-voltage charging and automatic-discharge circuitry, using live hardware state during board bring-up to guide PCB debugging and rework.
